BBQ Cake

The English “Pound Cake” likely originated in the early 18th century. Its name refers to the original recipe, which consisted of one pound of butter, one pound of sugar, one pound of eggs, and one pound of flour. Although the recipe has evolved over the centuries, we still recognize Pound Cake as the classic cake it remains today. Read the full history of cake at www.gastropedia.nl.
