We are delighted to announce that the next WBQA European BBQ Championships will take place in Bremen Exhibition Centre (Messe Bremen), Germany on 17th & 18th September 2016.

 

The World BBQ Association partnered with Bremen City and supported by the German BBQ Association e.V, are delighted to come together to make this the best WBQA European BBQ Championships ever

Time Schedule for Teams Participating at the WBQA European Barbecue Championships 2016, in Partnership with Bremen City and Landmann BBQs

Thursday, September 15th

  • 8am – 6pm Storage Facilities Open

Friday, September 16th

  • 8am – 10pm WBQA Office open

  • 8am – 10pm Teams Registration

  • 8am – 10pm Teams Set-up

  • 8am – 10pm Judge Registration

  • 8am – 10pm Dispensing of Goods & Equipment

  • 10am – 3pm Judge Training

  • 3pm – 5pm Table Managers’ Training

  • 3pm – 10pm Dispensing of Food

  • 6pm – 7pm Team Parade

  • 7.30pm – 9.30pm Teams & Judges Welcome Gathering

Saturday, September 17th

  • 8am WBQA Office Open

  • 8am Storage Open

  • 8.30am – 9am Team Captains Briefing (Mandatory Attendance)

  • 9.30am – 10.00am Judges & Table Managers’ Briefing

  • 10am – 10.30am Opening Presentation from main Stage

  • 1pm – 4pm Sample Hand-ins:

    • 1pm – Fish & Side-dish

    • 2.15pm – Chicken & Side-dish

    • 3.30pm – Home Cooking (the extra platter for media & public viewing should be put on display from this time also)

    • 4.30pm – Pork Ribs (from this time until the park closes, teams can interact with the public and serve samples, if they so wish)

Results and Prize Giving for the Saturday competition will be presented at the Prize Giving Ceremony on Sunday at 4pm

Sunday, September 18th

  • 8am WBQA office open.

  • 8am Storage open

  • 12pm – 2pm Sample Hand-ins:

    • 12.30pm – Desert (the extra platter for media & public viewing should be put on display from this time also)

    • 1.30pm – Pork Shoulder

    • 2.30pm – Brisket (from this time until the park closes, teams can interact with the public and serve samples, if they so wish).

  • 4pm Results & Prize Giving Ceremony
